Beautiful You Life Coaching Academy CEO Shine Award Winner!
There are moments that stay in your memory forever.
Moments that add up to creating a new story of your future.
Moments that give you hope, that fill you with gratitude and remind you why you decided to get back up and start again.
One such moment happened on the 11th March 2016.
Six months before deciding to embark on studying life coaching I had returned home to Australia after spending nearly a year in residential treatment for severe anorexia nervosa. I had also just separated from my ex husband. I came back to Australia not knowing what my future held, where I was going to live or even what I was going to do for work. My life had been all about trying to survive up until this point.
Turned upside down, here I was back on home soil, seeing life with completely new eyes.
I was once told by a very wise person that ‘anything I put before my recovery I would loose’.
I knew that to ensure I continued strongly on my recovery path I would need to devote the next six months to solidifying my recovery here in Australia.
Survival was no longer the focus point, but rather a re-discovering of self, of life and of my heart.
In the January of 2014 I began to feel as though I could take further steps forward and slowly step out of the cocoon I had built and begin to open the door to more of life.
But let me rewind.
Whilst in the USA I made many commitments to myself for my future.
One such commitment was to always listen to my intuition and to the inner words of my soul and heart.
It was this commitment that led me to signing up for the Beautiful You Life Coaching Academy course and so it was in 2014 I began studying again.
Looking back on that time now, I can see how all the pieces of the puzzle slowly came together.
When I left the USA I received a parting letter from my mentor.
In this, she said to me:
“You will find members of your safety and your tribe everything – look for them. You can also make new initiates as you teach the wisdom you have been taught: that we are all souls traveling on this earth and that we must take care of our bodies and our souls. That all members of the tribe help each other and tell the truth without judgement – and that no matter what, come from love.”
I received more than I could ever imagine.
Studying with one of the best international life coaching academies, I entered into a sisterhood of support, love and friendship.
Woman fulfilling their hearts desires to make a change to this world and leave a lasting imprint.
Woman lifting each other up, celebrating milestones, the win’s, and spreading words of encouragement when the going got tough.
I received best friends.
I opened a doorway to fulfilling my hearts desires to guide others to become their own best friend.
Just as I had travelled the path of my own initiation through the fires of darkness, and finding my way out, I found the key to unlock the door to helping others along this path.
Mentored and supported each step of the way by the inspiring Julie Parker.
Julie Parker is the heart and soul of the academy.
What I received is all that Julie embodies – the ability to shine light on the parts of yourself that you hide, the unearthing of soul, the remembering of all that I am and the unwavering support to best your best self in the world.
The Gala Ball that was held in Melbourne was a window into the true essence of the academy. I was accompanied by my parents and felt so privileged to have them share the evening with me, able to witness the energy in the room, the inspiration and to share in the joy I felt deep within of celebrating the path I am on today.
It is this kind of support, soulful community and nurturing relationships that bring light to darkness, freedom from pain, acceptance from disempowerment and love from fear.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners of each category.
Your dedication and determination to be your best self inspires me.
Thank you to all those that have walked this path with me, who inspire me to keep going, who mirror to me what I need to learn, who nurture me and most of all, to those who allow me to be myself in this world.
To my clients, thank you for giving me this great honour to be of service and guide you on the path to building a compassionate relationship with yourself, to allowing you to be all that you can be and allowing me the privilege to listen to your stories, to share in your tender moments, to see your tears, your laughter and your joy and lastly, to celebrate with you.
I am grateful for this honour and look forward to the future with excitement and a heart full of gratitude and love for the work that I do.
